Trustee Roles: Rushmoor Healthy Living (RHL):
We are currently looking for new Trustees
Are you passionate about promoting good health and reducing health and social inequalities in our communities?
RHL was set up in 2002 with a Big Lottery Fund grant as part of the Healthy Living Centres programme. Our main geographical focus has historically been the pockets of significant disadvantage and disadvantaged groups in the borough of Rushmoor which covers the towns of Farnborough and Aldershot in North East Hampshire. Over the last few years we have expanded locally to other areas which also contain pockets of disadvantage, including South Reading and Basingstoke.
At RHL we are passionate about working with our beneficiaries to truly understand the barriers they face. We then provide support to empower them to address these barriers, help themselves and improve their quality of life. Find out more on our website: www.rhl.org.uk
The Trustee Role
• The board meets quarterly
• All Trustees are also invited to attend the quarterly Finance Committee
• The period of appointment is a fixed term (a 3-year cycle renewable for two terms)
Remote working is possible through Skype etc. but you would need to attend a minimum of 5 meetings a year in Farnborough (40 mins from Waterloo. 15 mins from Woking) usually held after 5pm. Reasonable expenses will be covered.
