FRC publishes a revised version of its operating procedures for reviewing company reporting

The FRC has published a revised version of its operating procedures for reviewing company reporting, following its October 2016 consultation. It also issues the consultation's feedback statement and some revised frequently asked questions (FAQs) to reflect the changes to the Conduct Committee's procedures.

The revised operating procedures will increase the transparency of the Conduct Committee's processes by permitting publication of the names of those companies whose reports and accounts it has reviewed, once the cases are closed. Paragraph 62 of the revised operating procedures indicates that the list of companies published by the FRC will set out the type of approach made to the company and the specific report and accounts under issue.
