The Non-Executive Director Awards, now in their thirteenth year, recognise the achievements of Non-Executive Directors within the business and not-for-profit community. NEDA worked with Peel Hunt to establish the Awards and has been a lead sponsor of the event for each of the 13 years since 2006.

The Categories for The 2019 Awards are:

  • FTSE 100 - To be eligible for this category companies must be in the FTSE100. The individual nominee can be a Chairman, Non-Executive Directors or Senior-Independent Director but the nominee must have been in their role for at least a year (from September 2017). 
  • FTSE All Share - To be eligible for this category companies must be quoted on the Main Market but not be a constituent of the FTSE 100. The individual nominee can be a Chairman, Non-Executive Directors or Senior-Independent Director but the nominee must have been in their role for at least a year (from September 2017). 
  • FTSE AIM - To be eligible for this category companies must be quoted on the FTSE AIM. The individual nominee can be a Chairman, Non-Executive Directors or Senior-Independent Director but the nominee must have been in their role for at least a year (from September 2017). 
  • Private / Private Equity Backed - To be eligible for this category companies must be a private or private equity backed company. The individual nominee can be a Chairman, Non-Executive Directors or Senior-Independent Director but the nominee must have been in their role for at least a year (from September 2017).
  • Not-For-Profit / Public Service Organisation - To be eligible for this category companies must be a not for profit or public service organisation. The individual nominee can be a Chairman, Non-Executive Directors or Senior-Independent Director but the nominee must have been in their role for at least a year (from September 2017).
  • Dame Helen Alexander 'NED To Watch' - To be eligible for this category, the nominee must be a Non-Executive Directors not a Chairman or Senior-Independent Director. The nominee must have been a Non-Executive Director for less than 5 years (from September 2013). 
  • Lifetime Achievement Award - Nominees are put forward by the judging panel and discussed at the judging dinner.

The Awards Ceremony will take place at Claridges on 27th March 2019 – the event is by invitation only.
