The Remuneration Committee workshop and update session aims to provide you with practical up-to-date information, together with the latest perspectives and views. The session will help you better understand how you can perform effectively as a member of a Remuneration Committee, both now or in future roles, or to provide support to the committee in its various activities.
The workshop and update will cover corporate governance requirements and guidelines - setting the context in terms of the role and responsibilities of the Remuneration Committee.
The session will also present the latest trends and insights that shape the challenges faced by Remuneration Committees including:
- different aspects of remuneration, including short and long-term incentives;
- performance measurement;
- benchmarking and how to use it effectively;
- the Remuneration Committee calendar; and
- latest investor thinking on topical issues.
A series of presentations will be delivered by senior Mercer professionals experienced in advising on executive pay, which will be enhanced by a range of case study exercises. These will be followed by interactive sessions that will enable you to share your experience and thinking.
Further insight will be provided by NEDA on current boardroom practice in respect of the work of Remuneration Committees and by the QCA with reference to the QCA Remuneration Committee Guide, which acts as a comprehensive source of reference for anyone sitting on a committee.
