We are delighted to announce an evening update event to be held in collaboration with Hogan Lovells and supported by the Institute of Business Ethics and Board Intelligence on 19th November 2019.
Do you understand your cultural, ethical and people threats and opportunities?... they are both strategic and operational… they are difficult to control… and they could prove to be your weakest link.
Why attend the Briefing?...
The role of the board is under more scrutiny than ever before and the input and insight of non-executives is central to an effective board. Non-Executives appointed to any board must keep up to date and bring fresh perspectives and new ideas to complement their experience, expertise and personal qualities to enable them to carry out their role effectively.
This interactive Update hosted by Hogan Lovells in partnership with the Non-Executive Directors’ Association (‘NEDA’), and supported by the Institute of Business Ethics (‘IBE’) and Board Intelligence, will provide you with a clear and practical overview of the latest developments in some of the most critical reputational risk areas, as well as giving you the opportunity to network with other NEDs.
What you need to know… (new publications and support available)
The session will help you focus on what you and your board need to know to keep abreast of these developments. Hogan Lovell’s expert legal team, led by Maegen Morrison and Ed Bowyer, will provide a topical technical update of a range of people-focused risk areas. Philippa Foster Back CBE (IBE Director) will give insight into the IBE’s recent work on ‘Corporate Ethics in a Digital Age’ – a report published over the summer. Elliot Berger (Board Intelligence Executive) will set out the key findings from the recent work on stakeholder reporting requirements, A member of the NEDA NED community will give their personal perspective on how NEDs are coping with the resulting new corporate risk landscape
Feedback from previous NED Updates held at Hogan Lovells includes:
