The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) will be hosting roundtables to discuss their Future of Audit Supervision Strategy (FASS) and is keen to hear from those involved in the audit landscape - including auditors, their professional bodies, and audit committee members.
The FRC launched FASS to undertake a comprehensive review of their supervisory and approach. important that we proactively ensure our activities remain adaptable, reflective of the evolving needs of the market, supports the public interest and reduces unnecessary regulatory burdens.
To ensure FASS remains reflective of the evolving needs of the market, supports the public interest, and reduces unnecessary regulatory burdens, the FRC will be hosting roundtables to discuss with stakeholders how their current regulatory approach can adapt to be fit for the future.
These roundtables are the first phase of the FRC's engagement to ensure that the output of their future supervisory model is a fair and just approach - one that considers the impact of and responds to challenges and opportunities in the UK audit market.
They are looking for Audit Committee Chairs to join the following roundtables:
- 16 June – 15:30-17:00pm (online)
- 24 June – 10:30am-12:00pm
