Chapter Zero is partnering with ERM and the Green Finance Institute (GFI) to run this in-person masterclass exploring the adoption of value-led approaches to accelerate and scale decarbonisation, and how climate transition plans can enhance your bottom line. The event is perfect for NEDs in Financial Services looking for leading guidance on this pivotal issue.

Private finance has a critical role to play in the transition to a low-emissions, climate-resilient economy. In 2025, Chapter Zero is launching a UK Financial Services programme for NEDs, recognising the specific and complex requirements of the financial sector related to climate change.

As part of the new programme, this session is designed to help board members unlock the strategic potential of climate transition planning, bringing together a community of directors in financial institutions to enhance peer learning, and facilitate dialogue to accelerate action at board level.

For some, transition planning is about disclosure. However, progressive businesses are focused on actionable and investable plans that utilise transition and decarbonisation as an integral part of their commercial strategy and a way to deliver resilience of their business model.

In this masterclass, participants will:

  • Discover how NEDs can catalyse the actions required to prepare a transition plan that aligns with accepted good practice and emerging regulatory norms globally.
  • Learn how to refine and prioritise climate transition planning efforts to achieve portfolio goals.
  • Uncover the critical elements of decarbonisation success – from integration, to financial planning and business transformation, to harnessing enablers and overcoming implementation barriers.

Delegates will be guided by industry-leading experts from ERM and GFI with a wealth of practical experience supporting FTSE 100 businesses. Speakers include:

  • Ingrid Holmes - Executive Director, Green Finance Institute
  • Irem Yerdelen - Managing Partner, ERM and NED, Green Finance Institute
  • Charles Allison - Partner, ERM
  • Alaric Marsden - Partner, ERM
  • Vicky Moffatt - CEO, Chapter Zero

Be sure to register your place at the booking link above to learn more about  how board members can unlock the strategic potential of climate transition planning to enhance their bottom line.
