
This year, the Institute of Business Ethics (‘IBE’) Annual Lecture will be presented by Sir Jon Thompson, CEO, Financial Reporting Council (‘FRC’), who will discuss the relationship between purpose, culture and conduct.
The Financial Reporting Council (‘FRC’) regulate auditors, accountants and actuaries, and set the UK’s Corporate Governance and Stewardship Codes. The FRC promotes transparency and integrity in business. Their work is aimed at investors and others who rely on company reports, audit and high-quality risk management.
Sir Jon Thompson will explore whether ethics can be regulated; what is business ethics and why are the FRC interested, plus he will take a look at the state of UK corporate governance code and the importance of transparency and accountability.
The session will be Chaired by Ian Peters MBE, Director, Institute of Business Ethics.
