The Quoted Companies Alliance (‘QCA’), together with Downing LLP, has commissioned the Henley Business School to conduct research on ESG and board evaluation. The QCA is looking for Non-Executive Directors, Chief Executives, Chairs and Investors to participate in these research projects. Participants will be asked to commit to a short telephone discussion where they will be asked questions about their experiences with board evaluation and/or ESG. We are hoping to get the views from both novices and those well versed in board evaluation and/or ESG.
The aim of the ESG research is to begin to demystify ESG for smaller quoted and growth companies by showcasing some of the good practice of QCA members and others to enable companies to better engage with investors on ESG criteria. Investors will also benefit by gaining a greater understanding of how companies approach ESG and have the opportunity to describe the ESG information they find most helpful and how they use such information when making investment decisions.
The research on board evaluation will be used alongside a literature review to provide insights which will enable smaller quoted and growth companies to conduct more informed and effective internal board evaluations.
