This International Women’s Day Women on Boards has launched a bursary programme to support more women into the boardroom.
Women have been shut out of making the decisions that shape our world for too long. But that is changing. Women on Boards has helped over 1500 women into the boardroom – women who are now making decisions that guide commerce, finance, health services, government, schools, charities and more.
We believe women from all walks of life can make a valuable contribution in the boardroom. We want to make sure the only barrier to the boardroom is talent. This International Women’s Day we are putting our money where our mouth is by offering four subsidised places for our Boardroom Journey, worth £555 each.
We know that women from all backgrounds have a huge amount to contribute through the boardroom – it is simply a question of finding the right board for you. Whatever your career stage, professional or life experience, there is a board which will value your input.
Although we keep costs as low as possible, we know that some aspiring board members may not be in a position to pay. We are offering four bursaries to those who may not otherwise be able to afford our support.
Each bursary comprises:
The bursaries are open to any woman who is not on a board or committee – but would like to be. Bursary applicants should have an income of under £30,000 or have been out of work for over 12 months. Applications are open until 31 March.
