Chapter Zero, the Directors’ Climate Forum, has launched its new 2024/25 Transition Planning Series. ‘Transition Planning’ is an increasingly hot topic for businesses and boardrooms with growing demands from investors and other key stakeholders for better climate disclosures.
As a Non-Executive Director, the part you can play in this important and challenging task in your boardroom is not to be underestimated. Chapter Zero want to provide you with practical examples and guidance from real-life experiences to help you ask the right questions.
Through topic-led modules, we will take you on a journey from ‘getting started’ webinars to ‘going deeper’ masterclasses, so you can engage in the series no matter where you are on your climate transition roadmap.
The Chapter Zero Transition Planning Series is designed to help you:
- Recognise what an effective transition plan looks like (using real examples and practical content wherever possible).
- Explore and understand your contribution to your businesses’ transition plans.
- Navigate the more challenging aspects of this planning process from the lens of the Non-Executive Director.
- Connect and share with your peers and learn from their successes and challenges.
From Autumn 2024, with support from its partners, Chapter Zero will host practical, in-person masterclasses that go beyond theory and explore how to embed a transition plan into business strategy.
The first ‘getting started’ webinar module with the Carbon Trust is open for registration, so book using the link to secure your place. The Webinar is on Wednesday 15 May 2024 [8.45 – 10.00 am]: Getting started: Assessing your climate-related risks, opportunities and current position.
